100 Sketches Part 3

I think the best part of my 100 sketches challenge is that I witnessed "Practice makes perfect". Not that I am referring to my sketches being perfect, lol. But I noticed great improvement in my work and I gained confidence in my daily practice, sketching became easier and very natural. Here are 10 more sketches!

Ever After High Character Illustrations - Part 3

Doing character design is different from some other illustration work. A big challenge in character design for a brand like Ever After High is keeping the cohesive look and style. Each character has their unique appearance and personality and they also need to look like they are from the same world.

I enjoy the creative process of creating these lovely images. I would receive brief on them, not just about their looks, but also what they are like, their favorite things to do, and even who their BFFs are.

Cute Fashion Dolls Test

A while ago, I did some sample work for a fashion dolls book. It was pretty fun! But due to workload/time conflict, I couldn't take the job. Here are some of the test pages you can see. Hope you like it!

Ever After High Character Illustrations - Part 2

Ever After High is such a wonderful property. Not only are the dolls super cute, the animated shows are funny and witty. I really love the message it sends that you can write your own story. Empowering for kids and adults too!
